Paolo Montero To Lead Juventus Following Allegri's Departure
Paolo Montero will lead Serie A side Juventus for the remainder of the season following the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri. Juventus sacked Allegri on Friday due to his behaviour during and after this week's Coppa Italia final, where he was sent off. This decision ends a long period of speculation over Allegri's future.
Montero, who currently coaches Juventus' Under-19 team, will oversee the remaining two matches. These fixtures include an away game at Bologna on Monday and a home match against Monza on May 26. The 52-year-old Uruguayan, who played as a defender for Juventus from 1996 to 2005, won four Serie A titles during his tenure.

Montero will conduct his first training session with the senior team on Sunday. Juventus described him as a club legend and someone who embodies the club's values both on and off the pitch. "Paolo is a Juventus legend, firstly on the pitch, and someone who has long been a bearer of the club's DNA on the bench," stated Juventus in an official announcement.
Despite the managerial change, Juventus are assured of Champions League qualification for next season. However, their final position in Serie A could still range between third and fifth place.

Montero's appointment comes at a crucial time for Juventus as they aim to finish the season strongly. His familiarity with the club's ethos and his previous successes as a player are expected to provide stability during this transitional period.
The upcoming matches will be pivotal for Montero and Juventus as they seek to secure their best possible finish in Serie A. Fans and analysts alike will be closely watching how Montero handles this new challenge.
