Manchester United Clinches FA Cup Victory Against Manchester City, 2-1

Onana could have done better with Doku's late attempt, which he parried into the corner. However, United ensured that Onana's mistake did not affect the outcome, securing a memorable victory in what might have been Ten Hag's last game in charge.

Teenage Talents Shine

United entered the match as underdogs, given the 31-point gap between them and City in the Premier League standings. However, their young talents delivered an impressive performance at Wembley. Garnacho scored one of his three shots on target, more than any other player on the field. Mainoo's performance has boosted his chances of making Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2024.

Mainoo also became the first English teenager to score in an FA Cup final since Steve MacKenzie for City against Tottenham in 1981. His contributions suggest he will be a key player for both United and England in the future.

Kevin De Bruyne ended the Premier League season with 10 assists and four goals from 18 appearances but struggled in this match. He completed only 71 per cent of his passes before being substituted for Julian Alvarez with over half an hour remaining. Despite ending their league campaign with nine consecutive wins to secure the title, City appeared off their usual form and will finish the season with just one trophy after last year's treble.
