Mainoo Relieved And Thankful For Ten Hag's Stay After FA Cup Triumph
Kobbie Mainoo expressed his relief over the future of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager faced potential dismissal after a lacklustre season but secured his position by leading United to an FA Cup victory against Manchester City last month.
Mainoo, currently with England at Euro 2024, scored the decisive goal in the 2-1 win at Wembley, marking an impressive debut year for the 19-year-old. Following United's 13th FA Cup triumph, a post-season review confirmed Ten Hag would remain in charge at Old Trafford under new ownership.

Mainoo is preparing for England's second group game against Denmark on Thursday, having made his international tournament debut against Serbia as a late substitute. When asked about United's decision to retain Ten Hag, Mainoo expressed his gratitude for the head coach after his maiden season with the first team.
"I am so grateful for Erik ten Hag; I can't thank him enough!" Mainoo said during a press conference. "Obviously, I am happy to be building with him. He's already got two trophies; hopefully, there's more to come. It's nice to have that peace of mind knowing what manager we're going back to in the new season."
Mainoo made 32 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals. His performances earned him a spot in England's 26-man squad for Euro 2024, selected ahead of notable players like James Maddison, Jordan Henderson, and Jack Grealish.
"I'm so grateful for him that he put so much trust and belief in me to play in the team," Mainoo added. "Yeah, I can't thank him enough."
The young midfielder's contributions have not gone unnoticed, and his future looks promising under Ten Hag's guidance. As Mainoo continues to develop, both club and country will be keenly watching his progress.
