Liverpool have extended their well-wishes to club legend Alan Hansen, who is currently seriously ill in hospital. Hansen, a pivotal figure in Liverpool's dominant team of the 1980s, secured eight league titles, three European Cups, two FA Cups, and three EFL Cups during his 14-year tenure with the Reds.

Hansen played 620 matches for Liverpool and captained the team for four seasons. The club has not provided further details regarding Hansen's condition but confirmed they are in contact with the 68-year-old's family.
