Boys And Girls In The UAE, Kick Off Your Dreams With This Famous Football League!
In Dubai, as part of an effort to scout for the next wave of football stars, La Liga has announced a significant initiative titled "LaLiga FC Futures." This programme is dedicated to identifying and nurturing football talent within the UAE, spotlighting eight standout players, four boys and four girls, for a specialized training course in Madrid.
These selected individuals will have the rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish football culture, visiting various clubs in Madrid to obtain a firsthand understanding of the sport in Spain.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by La Liga to foster football talent globally, with Dubai chosen for its strategic importance and the high quality of its football academies. The UAE selection follows successful talent hunts in the United States and South Africa, with plans underway to extend these trials to Vietnam and Guatemala. Through these initiatives, La Liga aims to cultivate not only skilled athletes but individuals who embody strong personal values and a positive attitude towards the game.
The unveiling of this programme occurred at a press conference in Dubai, marking a pivotal moment for aspiring footballers in the UAE. Approximately 200 young athletes from various local academies are partaking in practical trials at Dubai Sports City's High Performance Centre, demonstrating their skills in hopes of being among the chosen few.
The trials and subsequent training in Madrid are meticulously designed to evaluate the participants on various fronts, including technical prowess, innate talent, and their overall mindset. The goal is to shape well-rounded athletes who not only excel on the field but also carry strong personal values and a commendable sporting character.
The announcement of this unique opportunity was made in the presence of notable figures such as Raúl Ostalé, La Liga’s Head of Marketing and Content for the Middle East and North Africa; Daniels Pitrows, CEO of the High Performance Centre; and Rubén Cano Sierra, Technical Manager for La Liga sports projects. Their attendance highlights the importance of this initiative and the collaborative effort between La Liga and local sports institutions to elevate football in the region.
The dedication to finding and nurturing young talent is evident in La Liga's strategic choice of the UAE for its latest talent search. The presence of advanced football academies in the region plays a crucial role in the selection process, providing a rich pool of young athletes with the potential to make it big on the international stage.
