Kevin Durant Teams Up With Qatar Sports Investments To Back Paris Saint-Germain

In a significant move toward expanding its global influence, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the principal owner of football club Paris Saint-Germain, has entered into a strategic agreement with basketball champ Kevin Durant.

This partnership highlights the merging paths of sports and entertainment investments, underscoring Durant's involvement through his company, Boardroom, and his business associate, Rich Kleiman. This collaboration grants Durant a direct minority interest in Paris Saint-Germain, marking a noteworthy investment in the club's future.

Kevin Durant, celebrated for his achievements as a two-time NBA Champion, a recipient of four Olympic gold medals, an MVP, and a presence in fifteen NBA All-Star games, has previously connected with Paris Saint-Germain through Arctos Partners.

This earlier association paved the way for the recent formalization of Durant's stake in the club. The agreement, signed earlier in the week with Boardroom Sports Holdings—Durant's personal investment firm which owns stakes in various leading sports teams and leagues — makes him a direct minority shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain.

Kevin Durant will play a pivotal role in co-developing merchandise, crafting original media content, strategizing the club's outreach in the US and other international arenas, supporting the PSG for Communities initiative, and consulting on the club's ventures in basketball among multi-sport strategies.
