Sardinia will host the inaugural KAFD Globe Soccer European Awards on May 28, recognizing the top performers in European football. The event, held at the prestigious Hotel Cala di Volpe in Smeralda, Italy, will feature 20 nominations for Best Men's Player.

Notable names on the shortlist include Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham and Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels as well as Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and several Manchester City players. Fans can cast their votes online until May 15, with the winners decided by a jury of football professionals. The awards are part of the "Road to Dubai" series, leading up to the annual Dubai Globe Soccer Awards held in the UAE. The ceremony will also coincide with the first in-person end-of-season LALIGA Awards.

Best Men's Club nominees include Inter Milan, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City, among others. The 15-man shortlist for Best Coach includes Xabi Alonso, who led Bayer Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga title this season, as well as Carlo Ancelotti, Luis Enrique, and Pep Guardiola. The Emerging Player Award features rising talents like Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Florian Wirtz. The awards will also include the presentation of the Best Goalscorer award and Career Awards for players and coaches. The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the LALIGA Awards and will be broadcast live worldwide.

The following day, May 29, the Globe Soccer Forum will take place, focusing on financial stability, player welfare, and multi-club ownership. The forum is a platform for industry professionals to discuss important topics in European football.
