Houssem Aouar Reunites With Laurent Blanc In Al-Ittihad Transfer
Houssem Aouar has transferred to Al-Ittihad from Roma for a reported fee of 12 million. The Algerian midfielder signed a four-year contract with the Saudi Pro League team, marking Laurent Blanc's first acquisition as head coach.
Aouar joined Roma in June 2023 on a five-year deal. During his time with the Giallorossi, he made 25 appearances and netted four goals. However, his playing time diminished after Jose Mourinho was dismissed in January.

Before his stint at Roma, Aouar had an impressive run at Lyon. His final season there was under the management of Laurent Blanc. This move to Al-Ittihad reunites him with Blanc, who is now his coach once again.
The official announcement of Aouar's signing was shared by Ittihad Club on their social media platforms. The club tweeted: "Houssem Aouar Officially Joins the Tigers" along with a picture of the player.
