Georgia Ready To Make History At Euro 2024 With Star Kvaratskhelia

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has expressed confidence that Georgia is prepared to make a significant impact at Euro 2024. Under the leadership of Willy Sagnol, the team qualified through the play-offs by defeating former champions Greece on penalties. They are the only debutants in Germany and will start their campaign against Turkiye on June 18.

The Crusaders are set to face Portugal and Czechia in Group F. Kvaratskhelia, who played a crucial role in Napoli's 2022-23 Scudetto win, scored four goals during the qualifiers. He also completed the joint-most dribbles along with Belgium's Jeremy Doku, both achieving 44 dribbles.

On being considered his nation's key player, the 23-year-old winger stated, "This is a very big responsibility, and I am grateful when my work is appreciated." He emphasised that individual success is secondary to team performance, saying, "There are a lot of Georgian footballers who could become the best player of the country; every one of us tries to be a team."
