Erling Haaland Secures Premier League Golden Boot For Consecutive Season
Erling Haaland has secured the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season. The Manchester City striker netted 27 goals in 31 appearances, finishing five goals ahead of Chelsea's Cole Palmer. Palmer, who transferred from Manchester City to Chelsea before the 2023-24 campaign, emerged as a surprise contender.
Haaland set a single-season record with 36 goals in his debut year in England. Although he did not match that tally this season, he maintained a five-goal lead over Palmer. Newcastle's Alexander Isak finished third with 21 goals. Dominic Solanke, Phil Foden, and Ollie Watkins tied for fourth place with 19 goals each.

Other notable high scorers included Mohamed Salah with 18 goals and Son Heung-min with 17. Bukayo Saka and Jarrod Bowen both scored 16 goals, joined by Jean-Philippe Mateta, who netted a hat-trick on the final day of the season in Crystal Palace's 5-0 win over Aston Villa.
While Haaland claimed individual honours, it was Foden and Rodri who scored in Manchester City's 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. This win secured a historic fourth successive Premier League title for City. Haaland's goals were crucial in positioning City for this achievement.
The 23-year-old started the season strongly, scoring eight goals in his first six appearances, including a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Fulham in September. Despite battling an injury and a mid-season dip in form, Haaland remained competitive with doubles against Manchester United and Chelsea.
Haaland pulled away from his Golden Boot rivals towards the end of the campaign. He scored four times in a 5-1 home win over Wolves this month and added two more against Tottenham, putting City on the brink of title glory.
Haaland joins Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, and Robin van Persie as players who have won the Golden Boot in consecutive seasons. Thierry Henry holds the record with four Golden Boot titles, while Kane, Salah, and Alan Shearer each have three. Haaland is now just one behind this group.
Playmaker of the Season
The Playmaker of the Season award went to Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins for his 13 assists. Watkins also scored 19 goals, helping Villa qualify for the Champions League. He is the first Aston Villa player to win this award since its inception in the 2017-18 season.
Watkins finished two assists ahead of Palmer, who came second in both awards. Kevin De Bruyne was part of a group tied for third with ten assists. De Bruyne is a three-time winner of this award and came close to topping the standings again despite missing much of the season due to injury.
Golden Glove Winner
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya won the Golden Glove award with 16 clean sheets. He is Arsenal's first winner since Petr Cech achieved the same feat in the 2015-16 season. Wojciech Szczesny is another former Arsenal winner.
Everton's Jordan Pickford finished second to Raya with 13 shutouts. The two goalkeepers faced off on the final day of the season as Arsenal defeated Everton 2-1. However, this result did not overshadow Haaland and City's celebrations.
