Chelsea Welcomes Renato Veiga In A £11.8m Deal As Maresca's Fifth Acquisition
Chelsea have officially signed Renato Veiga from FC Basel on a seven-year contract. The Blues paid a reported £14 million (€11.8 million) for the young talent, with an option to extend his stay by an additional year, potentially keeping him at the club until 2031.
Veiga joined Basel in August 2023 on a four-year deal and quickly established himself in the first team. He made his debut in September and went on to make 26 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice in the Swiss Super League.

"I'm absolutely buzzing to be here," Veiga expressed to Chelsea's media channels. "This is one of the biggest clubs in England—the biggest for me—and I'm just really excited to get started."
Veiga is Chelsea's fifth signing of this transfer window. He joins Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as new additions to the squad.
