Enes Unal Commits To Bournemouth With Four-Year Contract After Loan Spell
Bournemouth have secured Enes Unal's services on a permanent basis, with the striker signing a four-year contract following a fruitful loan spell at the Vitality Stadium. Unal joined Bournemouth on loan from Getafe in January and featured in 16 Premier League matches during the latter half of the 2023-24 season.
While primarily acting as a backup to star forward Dominic Solanke, Unal contributed two goals as Bournemouth finished 12th in the league, narrowly missing out on a top-half finish by just one point. His first Premier League goal came as a stoppage-time equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United in March. He also found the net in a 3-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion in late April.

Bournemouth set a new club record by amassing 48 points in their first season under manager Andoni Iraola. This achievement marked a significant turnaround after failing to secure a win in Iraola's initial nine league games. Unal, who missed the first half of the 2023-24 season due to a cruciate ligament tear, expressed his enthusiasm for the future on the club's website.
"I enjoyed testing myself in the Premier League while regaining my fitness. I am really excited for the years ahead," Unal stated.
