BeIN Renews LALIGA Broadcast Rights In 34 Markets Across MENA And APAC
beIN MEDIA GROUP has extended its LALIGA broadcast rights, ensuring that beIN SPORTS will continue to air Spanish football in 34 markets across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) until the end of the 2027-28 and 2026-27 seasons, respectively.
The exclusive deal spans countries including Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE, Yemen, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, beIN will co-share LALIGA broadcast rights in Iraq with the regional platform 1001.

beIN has held LALIGA rights since 2003 in MENA and 2015 in APAC. The new agreement ensures Spain's top league remains on beIN SPORTS for 25 consecutive seasons across 23 MENA markets. The network retains rights to all 380 league games and expands its media rights to include Australia and New Zealand.

Starting on 15 August with a full round of 10 matches expected. Key stories include Real Madrid's new signing Kylian Mbappé settling in quickly. FC Barcelona's new German coach Hansi Flick aims to influence his club's style of play swiftly. Girona looks to build on their UEFA Champions League qualification for the first time in their 93-year history.

LALIGA and beIN have also taken steps against audiovisual fraud which affects clubs and broadcasters significantly. They have initiated legal actions in Morocco and Bahrain against illegal streaming websites and IPTV services. Periodic administrative blockades have been implemented jointly with other right holders in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Among the season’s highlights will be two El Clasico matches where Real Madrid faces FC Barcelona. Other notable players include Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Martin Zubimendi.
Both entities maintain constant communication to report cases within Spain’s HORECA channel (hotels/restaurants/cafeterias) where decoders from other countries are used illegally. Their Anti-Piracy teams share intelligence on common targets and trends while developing projects against hosting services that ignore takedown requests.
