Aston Villa Secures Iling-Junior And Barrenechea In A £18.6 Million Deal With Juventus

Aston Villa have successfully signed Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus for a combined fee of £18.6 million (€22 million). This acquisition follows Douglas Luiz's £50 million transfer to the Italian club in a separate deal.Iling-Junior, who began his career at Chelsea's academy, moved to Juventus in 2020 and debuted for their senior team in 2022. Last season, he played 27 matches across all competitions, netting one goal and providing two assists. He also won the Coppa Italia in May.The club has been active in the transfer market, having already signed Ian Maatsen from Chelsea and Lewis Dobbin from Everton. In addition to Luiz's departure, young talents Tim Ireogbunam and Omari Kellyman have been sold to Everton and Chelsea respectively.Barrenechea spent two years with Juventus but was loaned to Frosinone last season. Despite becoming a regular starter, he couldn't prevent the team from being relegated back to Serie B.
