Ange Postecoglou Targets Premier League Title For Tottenham By 2025

Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has set his sights on the Premier League title for the upcoming season. Despite a challenging winter period that saw the team's performance dip due to injuries, Postecoglou remains optimistic about the future. The North London club, which had briefly led the league in November, now finds itself 11 points behind the current leaders, Liverpool, and in a tight race for Champions League qualification with Aston Villa.

Postecoglou has made it clear that securing a top-four finish this season is not his primary goal. Instead, he is focused on the long-term development and improvement of his young squad. When questioned about Tottenham's aspirations for the next season, Postecoglou expressed his ambition to compete for the title, stating, "I hope so. Or why am I doing what I'm doing? That's why I came to the club."

Spurs' Title Aim by 2025

The former Celtic manager also reiterated his stance on Champions League qualification. He highlighted the examples of Manchester United and Newcastle, who finished third and fourth respectively last season but did not progress further. According to Postecoglou, merely qualifying for the Champions League is not enough to ensure sustained success.

In addition to discussing his team's ambitions on the field, Postecoglou addressed recent fan protests over planned ticketing changes at Tottenham. The club announced that senior concession season tickets would be phased out by the 2025-26 season, sparking backlash from supporters. A group named Save Our Seniors organized a protest during Tottenham's recent 2-1 victory over Luton, where fans turned their backs on the game in the 65th minute.

Postecoglou emphasized the importance of fan voices in football and supported their right to protest as long as it does not disrupt or harm the club overall. His experience with fan protests during his tenure at Celtic has shaped his understanding of the dynamic between clubs and their supporters.

As Tottenham looks ahead to their next match against West Ham, Postecoglou's focus remains on building a foundation for future success. His commitment to developing a competitive squad and engaging with fan concerns highlights his holistic approach to management.
