Al Ain FC Fans Gather To Celebrate FIFA Club World Cup Trophy Tour In UAE
The FIFA Club World Cup Trophy Tour recently made a significant stop in the UAE, with Al Ain being the ninth club to host this prestigious prize. The tour included a visit to the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, marking a high point in its global journey. Fans of Al Ain FC gathered in large numbers to see the trophy, which their team will compete for in the USA later this year.
During its three-day stay in the UAE, the trophy was showcased at various landmarks. The visit concluded with a memorable fountain and light show at the Burj Khalifa. This event celebrated not only football but also the rich culture and heritage associated with the sport. The trophy's golden surface is engraved to reflect this richness.

Al Ain legends Humaid Fakher, Salem Johar, and Rodrigo Mendes were among those who welcomed the trophy. The event celebrated both the club's history and its future. On day one, fans had a chance to see the trophy at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi before it moved to Yas Mall, where over 1,000 fans took photos with it.
The following day saw the trophy visiting iconic sites like Qasr Al Muwaiji fort and Jebel Hafeet mountain. At Al Jahili Fort, which features on Al Ain’s badge, the trophy was displayed against a backdrop that highlighted its historical significance as it continues its global journey ahead of FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Al Ain’s players and coaching staff had an opportunity to view this illustrious prize firsthand. Meanwhile, young fans were thrilled to pose with it at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. This engagement underscores football’s enduring appeal across generations within Al Ain and beyond.
Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi played a key role in last year's AFC Asian Champions League final victory by scoring twice against Yokohama F. Marinos from Japan during their decisive second leg match. He remarked on how deeply ingrained football is within local culture: "If you walk the streets here, you’ll see that people live and breathe football and they’re passionate about Al Ain," Rahimi said. "The club is the thing they care most about. The whole city loves football – the whole UAE loves football."
