Yuvraj Singh's All-Time XI Omits Dhoni And Ganguly, Picks Gilchrist

Yuvraj Singh, during the World Championship of Legends 2024, chose his all-time XI. Notably, he excluded former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni but included Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma.

Yuvraj led India Champions to victory against Pakistan Champions in the final on July 13. When asked to name his best XI, he quickly listed his choices, excluding both MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly.

The former Indian all-rounder selected Adam Gilchrist from Australia as his wicketkeeper. He also included South Africa's AB de Villiers in his lineup.

Starting with Sachin Tendulkar as his top pick, Yuvraj then named former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. He followed this by selecting Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.

At No. 5, Yuvraj chose AB de Villiers and placed Adam Gilchrist at No. 6 as the specialist wicketkeeper. This completed his batting lineup.

For the bowling attack, Yuvraj opted for some of the game's greats, leaving no room for any of his compatriots. He picked Australian spin legend Shane Warne at No. 7 and Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan at No. 8.

In the pace department, he selected Australian legend Glenn McGrath and former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram for the No. 9 and No. 10 spots.

Although not in a specific batting order, Yuvraj included former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff as his number 11 pick before naming himself as the 12th man without hesitation.
