Alishan Sharafu Appointed Captain Of UAE’s ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 Team
Alishan Sharafu is set to lead the UAE team in the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, taking place in Doha, Qatar. The tournament, starting on 14 November, offers a platform for UAE's young cricketers to display their skills. The squad comprises 15 players who have shown promise in recent international and domestic matches.
The UAE team finds itself in Group B alongside India A, Pakistan A, and Oman. Their first match is against India A on 14 November. Following this, they will face Oman on 16 November and conclude their group stage against Pakistan A on 18 November.

The semi-finals are scheduled for 21 November, with the final match planned for 23 November. Group A features Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, and Hong Kong.
UAE Squad Details
The UAE squad includes Alishan Sharafu as captain, with players like Aayan Khan and Ahmed Tariq among others. The team also has Haider Shah as the wicketkeeper. Other members include Ethan D' Souza, Harshit Kaushik, Mayank Kumar, Muhammad Arfan, Muhammad Farazuddin, Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Jawadullah, Rohid Khan, Sohaib Khan, Yayin Khan and Zahid Ali.

The matches will be held at West End International Cricket Stadium. The opening game against India A starts at 2:30 pm on 14 November. The second match versus Oman begins at 12:30 pm on 16 November. Their final group game against Pakistan A is scheduled for 5:30 pm on 18 November.
Semi-final matches are set for two slots: one at 12:30 pm and another at 5:30 pm on 21 November. The tournament concludes with the final match at 5:30 pm on 23 November.
