IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Meet The Five Youngest Players Including Vaibhav Suryavanshi

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Mega Auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. A total of 574 players have been shortlisted for this event.

Among these players, 366 are from India, while the remaining 208 include three from Associate Nations. The list features both seasoned players nearing the end of their careers and newcomers eager to make a mark.

In this auction, three players over the age of 40 will be available, alongside at least fifteen teenagers. These young talents are expected to attract significant attention during the two-day bidding process.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old cricketer from Bihar, is the youngest participant with a base price of Rs 30 lakh. He will celebrate his birthday during the IPL 2025 season. Let's explore some of the youngest talents entering this auction:

1. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (India) - 13 years 7 months 28 days: Vaibhav made history as the youngest player to enter an IPL Auction. He debuted in first-class cricket for Bihar at just 12 years and 284 days old, becoming the youngest Indian since 1986 to do so.

He showcased his talent by scoring a rapid century against Australia in a youth Test match in Chennai. His impressive performances earned him a spot in India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.

2. Ayush Mhatre (India) - 17 years 4 months 8 days: This Mumbai-based opening batter recently gained attention with a remarkable century in the Ranji Trophy shortly after being selected for India's Under-19 Asia Cup squad.

Mhatre also received an invitation from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for trials, which he described as a dream opportunity for any young cricketer aiming to excel.

3. Andre Siddarth (India) - 18 years 2 months 27 days: Standing at an impressive height of six feet three inches, this middle-order batter from Tamil Nadu is among the youngest entrants in the IPL Auction list.

Siddarth made his first-class debut earlier this year and scored an impressive average of nearly a hundred runs across five innings. He has also been called up to India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.

4. Kwena Maphaka (South Africa) - 18 years 7 months 16 days: The left-arm pacer from Johannesburg has made significant progress in his career, earning a call-up for the Under-19 World Cup and now entering the IPL Auction.

Despite not making a big impact during his stint with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 as a replacement player, Maphaka consistently bowls at speeds exceeding 140 km/h and has already represented South Africa's senior T20I team.

5. Allah Ghazafnar (Afghanistan) - 18 years 8 months 4 days: This mystery spinner from Afghanistan has garnered attention recently by playing for both development teams and Afghanistan's senior national team.

The off-spinner impressed during this year's Emerging Asia Cup and has played eight One Day Internationals, taking twelve wickets with best figures of six for twenty-six against Bangladesh earlier this month.
