Yash Dhull's Cricketing Resurgence: Coach Rajesh Nagar's Key Role In His Comeback
Yash Dhull's cricket career is regaining momentum after a challenging period. Following his leadership in India's 2022 U-19 World Cup victory, Dhull faced a dip in form and criticism. However, this season has seen a remarkable turnaround for the 21-year-old, highlighted by his second century in the Ranji Trophy with a score of 121 against Chandigarh and a subsequent 58 in the second innings. Despite Delhi's nine-wicket loss, Dhull's determination to excel is evident.
Rajesh Nagar, Dhull's coach, plays a crucial role in his resurgence. "This time, Yash has done a lot of good preparation," Nagar states. "He had a good U-19 World Cup and made an impressive Ranji debut, but after that, he hit a rough patch. That's normal in any career. Now, he's really focused on both his physical and mental aspects. I spoke to him recently-he's in a good zone and ready to perform even better this season."

Nagar attributes Dhull's improvement to minor technical tweaks rather than major overhauls. "We didn't work on much, just refined his trigger movement and head position, and we talked about mental toughness. If that's strong, scoring runs isn't an issue," explains Nagar, who also coaches Anuj Rawat.
Nagar recalls Dhull's disciplined performance against Karnataka, particularly his controlled play in the 'V' area. This approach underscores the player's commitment to refining his game.
As the IPL auction approaches, Nagar emphasizes that Dhull remains concentrated on Ranji matches. "The IPL is secondary; perform well in Ranji, and the world will notice. Right now, Yash's aim is clear-score big, stay grounded, and let his game do the talking."
Dhull continues to demonstrate he's more than just emerging talent; he's determined to climb higher in cricket ranks. His focus remains steadfast on enhancing his Ranji performances with each match.
