Wriddhiman Saha Makes Bengal Return For Pro T20 League Debut
India's star wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha is making a return to Bengal. The 39-year-old, who played for Tripura the last two domestic seasons, will rejoin the Bengal team in the upcoming season.
The Siliguri-born player obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Tripura Cricket Association to rejoin Bengal. Apart from that, the veteran is also set to play the inaugural season of the Bengal Pro T20 League which starts from June 11.

On Wriddhiman's decision, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly expressed his delight. "We are very happy to have Wriddhiman back in Bengal. Also, his interest in playing at the Bengal Pro T20 League will add more glamour to the League," Ganguly said.
In light of his interest, CAB has decided to include Wriddhiman as a replacement marquee player. He will replace the injured Abhimanyu Easwaran in the Medinipur Wizards team for the inaugural season.
This move is expected to benefit both Wriddhiman and the team, bringing in his experience and skill to the forefront of Bengal cricket once again. Saha is expected to lead the Medinipur franchise in the upcoming season of the Bengal Pro T20 League as well.
The veteran most recently played in the IPL 2024 for Gujarat Titans. Saha scored 136 runs in 9 matches at an average of 15 as the Titans failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in their three years existence.
