West Indies Outclass USA In T20 World Cup Hosts Showdown
West Indies secured a dominant nine-wicket victory over the United States in the T20 World Cup, positioning themselves favourably for a semi-final berth. After an initial loss to England in the Super 8s, the Windies rebounded impressively in Barbados on Friday.
Shai Hope's unbeaten 82 off 39 balls, featuring eight sixes, propelled West Indies to surpass the modest target of 129 within just 11 overs. Hope, who was recalled due to Brandon King's injury, has now made a strong case for his continued inclusion in the team.

The USA began promisingly but collapsed from 51-1 to 65-4 within three overs. Andre Russell was instrumental with the ball, taking 3-31. The USA was eventually bowled out for 128. Hope, Johnson Charles (15), and Nicholas Pooran (27 not out) quickly secured the win for West Indies.
Group Standings and Future Matches
This victory places West Indies above England in Group 2, with a superior net run rate compared to South Africa. The Windies will face South Africa next, while defending champions England will play against the USA in their final Super 8s match.
