Washington Freedom secured a dominant 94-run victory over MI New York in their fifth match of Major League Cricket 2024 at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas. Travis Head and Andries Gous led the charge with impressive half-centuries, propelling Washington to a formidable total of 182/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
After being asked to bat first, Washington's openers, Steve Smith and Travis Head, provided a steady start. However, Smith was dismissed by Rashid Khan in the fifth over after scoring 8 off 10 balls.
