Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli clinched the Orange Cap award in IPL 2024 following an impressive season.

As Kohli received the award, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer accepted it on his behalf. The RCB batter is currently on national duty and will soon depart for the T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA.

Kohli shared a pre-recorded message with the crowd at Chepauk stadium, who cheered loudly upon hearing his name. He expressed his gratitude and satisfaction with his performance.

"Extremely honoured to win the orange cap this season. It was a rollercoaster of a ride, I was really pleased with the way I performed for the team, especially in the latter half where we needed to win every game to qualify. Looking forward to replicate the performance in the IPL 2025 and thank you everyone for your support," Kohli said.
