The team was initially scheduled to leave Barbados at 6:00 PM local time on Tuesday and reach Delhi by 8:00 PM IST on Wednesday. However, the departure was postponed by nearly five hours to 11:30 PM local time. Even this plan fell through due to the late arrival of the chartered flight.

Kohli is well-known for expressing his affection towards Anushka Sharma. He often calls her right after matches. Following India's victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 at Kensington Oval on June 29, he video-called his wife and kids moments after the win.
