Rise Worldwide, a leading sports marketing agency in India, manages several of these cricket stars. The agency had already secured around 10 endorsement deals before the World Cup. They now anticipate a substantial rise in brand engagements following the tournament's success. These cricketers collectively endorse 89 brands across 35-40 categories.

The endorsement values are influenced by market dynamics and the brand images cultivated by the cricketers themselves. Industry insiders revealed that top players like Sharma and Kohli command between Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 7 crore per deal. Other top players like Bumrah, Yadav, and Pandya have deal values ranging from Rs 2-3 crore.

Tuhin Mishra, Managing Director of Baseline Ventures, highlights that batsmen like Kohli and Sharma will be the prime beneficiaries of India's World Cup victory in terms of endorsements. He also hopes this success will shine a spotlight on bowlers for their crucial performances in both the recent T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup in 2023.

Opportunities for Cricketers

Aviral Jain, Managing Director of Valuation Advisory Services at Kroll, views India's long-awaited victory at an ICC event as a golden opportunity for cricketers to attract new brands and secure global endorsements. Jain anticipates a double-digit percentage increase in brand portfolios and a potential rise in endorsement fees, projecting a 15-20% uptick given their current brand values.

Despite a sluggish advertising market, he believes cricketers will remain highly sought after by brands, especially during the festive season when ad spending peaks.
