Kevin Pietersen Suggests Virat Kohli To Move To Delhi Capitals For IPL Trophy
Virat Kohli's quest for an IPL trophy remains unfulfilled as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fell to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2024 Eliminator on Wednesday.
Kohli, who is poised to win the Orange Cap with 741 runs this season, has yet to secure an IPL title. The prominent cricketer has been with RCB since the league's inception and captained the team for eight years.

RCB's journey this season was tumultuous. They lost seven of their first eight matches but managed a remarkable turnaround by winning six consecutive games to reach the playoffs. However, their resurgence was halted by Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals.
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has advised Virat Kohli to leave RCB and join Delhi Capitals in his pursuit of an IPL trophy. Pietersen drew parallels with sports icons like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, and Harry Kane to support his argument.
"I have said it before and I will say it again: the greats of the game in other sports have left teams to seek glory elsewhere. When he has tried so hard, won the Orange Cap yet again, and done so much yet again, and the franchise fails again. I understand the brand value he brings to the team... But Virat Kohli deserves a trophy," Pietersen told the Times of India.
Pietersen further elaborated, "I actually think it should be Delhi. Delhi is where Virat needs to go. He can stay at home most of the time; I know he has a home in Delhi. He has a young family and can spend more time there. He is a Delhi boy. Why can't he go back? Delhi are as desperate as Bengaluru."
It is noteworthy that Delhi Capitals have also not won an IPL trophy so far. The team, led by Rishabh Pant, finished sixth this season.
