Vinod Kambli Sings Hindi Song To Honour Ramakant Achrekar At Memorial Ceremony With Sachin Tendulkar Present

On December 3, a gathering of notable figures took place at Shivaji Park in Mumbai for the unveiling of the Ramakant Achrekar memorial. The event was led by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by Sanjay Bangar, Paras Mhambrey, Praveen Amre, Sameer Dighe, and Balbinder Sandhu, shared the stage with Maharashtra's political leader Raj Thakre during the ceremony. This event marked a significant moment as they honoured Achrekar's legacy.

Ramakant Achrekar, who passed away in 2019, is celebrated as one of India's finest cricket coaches. He played a crucial role in nurturing many Indian cricketers' careers, including Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. Both trained under him during their early years.

Vinod Kambli made his first public appearance since facing health issues. Despite his struggles, he joined Sachin Tendulkar to share a heartfelt moment during the ceremony.

During the event, Vinod Kambli paid homage to Ramakant Achrekar by singing a Hindi song. Although his voice faltered at times, his expressive performance captivated everyone present.

"Sar jo tera chakaraaye, Yaa dil duba jaaye - Aaja pyare paas hamaare Kaahe ghabaraay, kaahe ghabaraay," sang Kambli on stage before concluding with "Love You Sir."
