KKR Star Venkatesh Iyer Marries Shruti Raghunathan In Traditional Ceremony

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Venkatesh Iyer has married his long-time partner Shruti Raghunathan.

Amidst the T20 World Cup excitement, Indian cricket fans celebrated Venkatesh Iyer's wedding. The KKR star married Shruti Raghunathan, with whom he was engaged since November 2023.

The pair exchanged vows on Sunday morning in the presence of family and friends. Their wedding photos are now viral on social media, receiving global love.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore was one of those invited to the wedding and wished the pair on social media.

"Thank you ⁦@venkateshiyer & #Shruti for inviting me to your special day. It was such a lovely & traditional wedding. God bless you both for a long & happy married life," Mysore wrote on his X profile wishing the couple.

Iyer had a strong IPL 2024 season, contributing significantly to KKR's title win. In 14 matches, he scored 370 runs at a strike rate of 158.80, with four half-centuries. His highest score was 70. Iyer's noteworthy half-century in the final helped KKR secure victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In the final, KKR's bowling unit restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 113 in 18.3 overs, the lowest score in a summit clash. Iyer's unbeaten 52 helped KKR finish the match in 10.3 overs. KKR's bowlers were inch-perfect, leaving Sunrisers Hyderabad in a difficult position. This performance marked KKR's third IPL title, adding to their previous successes in 2012 and 2014.
