Travis Head from Australia recently shared his thoughts on an incident involving Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj during the second Test of the India-Australia series. The encounter took place in Adelaide, where Head played a crucial innings.

Travis Head on Siraj's Reaction in Test

During the post-match press conference, Head expressed his surprise at Siraj's intense reaction. He noted that there had been no prior confrontation to justify such a response. "I felt like a better reaction [was warranted]. I was surprised at the reaction in terms of the situation of the game and the lead-up, and there was no confrontation leading up to it," said Head.

Although Head regretted his immediate response, he emphasized his commitment to standing up for himself. He acknowledged that his own reaction might have been excessive but maintained that self-defense is important. "I felt like it was probably a little bit far at the time, and that's why I'm disappointed in the reaction that I gave back, but I'm also going to stand up for myself."

The Australian batter highlighted the importance of maintaining sportsmanship on the field. He suggested that such conduct would not be acceptable within his team. "I'd like to think in our team that we wouldn't do that. It's not how I'd like to play the game, and I'd feel like my teammates are the same. If I'd seen that in those circumstances, I'd probably call it out, which I did," he added.

Despite this heated moment, India's position in the second Test remained challenging. By Day 2's end, they were trailing at 128 for 5, still behind by 29 runs.
