Revealed: Teams With Direct Qualification For T20 World Cup 2026
The USA has secured a spot in the T20 World Cup 2026 after advancing to the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Friday, June 14. This achievement places them among the teams earning direct qualification for the 2026 tournament.
Teams that reach the Super 8 round of the current ninth edition automatically qualify for the T20 World Cup 2026. Despite Sri Lanka not advancing to the second round, they will qualify directly as co-hosts of the event.

In addition to Sri Lanka and the eight Super 8 teams, including hosts India, the three highest-ranked teams on the ICC T20I rankings as of June 30, 2024, will also secure direct qualification for the T20 World Cup 2026. The remaining eight spots in the 20-team event will be determined through ICC's regional qualifiers pathway.
Full Members Pakistan and New Zealand did not make it to the Super 8 but are currently ranked sixth and seventh in the latest ICC T20I rankings. England is competing against Scotland for a place in the Super 8. Even if England fails to advance, they will still qualify automatically as they are ranked fourth. Ireland and Scotland also have a chance for direct qualification.
