T20 World Cup Icons: Rohit And Shakib In All Editions
India captain Rohit Sharma and former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan are set to participate in their ninth consecutive T20 World Cup in June. These two players are the only ones in history to have featured in all editions of the T20 World Cup.
Rohit Sharma will lead India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, starting on June 2. Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan has returned to action just in time and is part of Bangladesh's 15-member squad, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Both cricketers have participated in T20 World Cups held in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2021, and 2022. India will begin their campaign against Ireland on June 9, while Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka on June 8 in their first Group D match.
Rohit Sharma and Shakib Al Hasan also hold the record for playing the most matches in T20 World Cups. Rohit Sharma leads with the highest number of matches played, followed by Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lankan legend Tillakaratne Dilshan.
