The upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup is scheduled for 2026 and will be hosted by Sri Lanka and India. The tournament is expected to occur during the February-March window. This joint hosting marks a significant event as it will be the first time both countries host a T20 World Cup together; Sri Lanka previously hosted in 2012, while India hosted in 2016.
In November 2021, ICC confirmed that Sri Lanka and India would co-host the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. This announcement has heightened anticipation among cricket enthusiasts.
Twelve teams have already secured their spots for the 2026 T20 World Cup. As co-hosts, India and Sri Lanka automatically qualify. Additionally, the top seven teams from the 2024 edition—Australia, England, USA, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, and South Africa—have also booked their places.
