T20 World Cup 2024: Breakdown Of Team India's Rs 125 Crore Reward From BCCI

The T20 World Cup-winning squad, led by Rohit Sharma and coached by Rahul Dravid, is set to receive Rs 5 Crore each from the cash reward announced by BCCI. This follows Team India's triumph at the tournament held in the USA and Caribbean.

Team India clinched victory against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, winning by seven runs at Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) subsequently declared a substantial cash prize for the team.

Team India's Rs 125 Cr Reward Breakdown

BCCI General Secretary Jay Shah revealed on X, "I am pleased to announce prize money of INR 125 Crores for Team India for winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024."

The grand felicitation ceremony took place on Thursday (July 4) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where Team India received their award. A report has now detailed how this cash reward will be distributed among the team members.

According to Indian Express, the remaining coaching staff will receive Rs 2.5 Crore each, while backroom staff members will get Rs 2 Crore each from BCCI's reward for the Indian team.

The reserve players and selection committee members led by Ajit Agarkar will each receive Rs 1 Crore following the team's T20 World Cup success. Below is a detailed breakdown of the cash reward:

  • Rs 5 Crore Each - The 15-player Indian T20 World Cup squad and head coach Rahul Dravid
  • Rs 2.5 Crore Each - Vikram Rathour (batting coach), Paras Mhambrey (bowling coach) & T Dilip (fielding coach)
  • Rs 2 Crore Each - Kamlesh Jain, Yogesh Parmar and Thulasi Ram Yuvraj (Physiotherapists); Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke and Dayanand Garani (throwdown specialists), Rajeev Kumar and Arun Kanade (masseurs) & Soham Desai (strength and conditioning coach)
  • Rs 1 Crore Each - Ajit Agarkar, Shiv Sunder Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola and Sridharan Sarath (selectors); Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed (reserve players)

The victorious squad includes Rohit Sharma as captain, Hardik Pandya as vice-captain, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah.
