T20 World Cup 2024: India, Australia, South Africa Secure Super 8 Spots
India secured a spot in the Super 8 round of the T20 World Cup 2024 after defeating the USA in New York on Wednesday. This victory places India alongside Australia and South Africa, who have also qualified for the next stage of the tournament.
South Africa was the first team from Group D to advance to the Super 8 round. They have maintained an unbeaten record, winning all three of their matches so far. Their final group stage match will be against Nepal on June 15.

Australia joined the Super 8 stage after a decisive nine-wicket win over Namibia on June 12. Led by Mitchell Marsh, Australia has also won their first three matches and will face Scotland in their final group match on June 16.
India, captained by Rohit Sharma, became the third team to qualify for the Super 8. They achieved this by defeating Ireland by eight wickets, Pakistan by six runs, and most recently, the USA. The tournament will conclude with the final match on June 29.

Two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 round. The tournament initially featured 20 teams divided into four groups.
The Super 8 round will consist of two groups of four teams each. Matches for Group 1 and Group 2 will be held in the West Indies from June 19 to June 25. The top two teams from each group will compete in the semi-finals on June 27.
