T20 World Cup 2024 Semi-Finals: Qualified Teams, Dates, And Venues Revealed

The T20 World Cup 2024 is narrowing down to its final stages, with only four teams remaining from the initial 20 that began the tournament. This year's event, hosted by the USA and the Caribbean, marked the first time 20 teams competed, making it the largest T20 World Cup in terms of participation.

The tournament started with 20 teams divided into four groups of five. After the first round, the competition was reduced to eight teams, which were then split into two groups of four for the Super Eights stage.

The top two teams from each group in the Super Eights will progress to the semi-finals. The team placed first in Group 1 will face the team placed second in Group 2 in Semi-Final 1, held in Trinidad. Conversely, the team placed first in Group 2 will play against the team placed second in Group 1 in Semi-Final 2, hosted in Guyana.

If India qualifies for the semi-finals as the top team in Group 1, they will play their match in Guyana.

As of June 23, defending champions England from Group 2 have secured their spot. West Indies and South Africa are competing for the other spot from Group 2. In Group 1, India is well-positioned to secure the top spot, while Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are still in contention.

The Super Eights matches conclude on June 24. The semi-finals will take place on June 26 and June 27 at two venues in the Caribbean. Here are the details:
