T20 World Cup 2024 Announces Record Prize Money For Teams

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on June 3 a record prize purse of USD 11.25 million for the T20 World Cup 2024. The winners will take home at least USD 2.45 million, while the runners-up will receive at least USD 1.28 million. Losing semi-finalists will earn USD 787,500 each.

In comparison, the previous edition in 2022 had a total prize pool of USD 5.6 million, with winners England receiving USD 1.6 million. The four teams that do not advance from the Super 8s in the 2024 edition will earn USD 382,500 each.

Record Prize Money at T20 World Cup 2024

Teams placed ninth to twelfth will receive USD 247,500 each, while participants finishing thirteenth to twentieth will return with USD 225,000 each. This ensures that every team, including those exiting from the group stages, will take home some prize money.
