T20 World Cup 2024: India's Path In Super Eights Unveiled
India has secured their place in the Super Eights of the T20 World Cup 2024 after their third consecutive victory in the group stages.
Rohit Sharma's men prevailed against a spirited USA side and have now guaranteed their progression to the next stage of the World Cup. Due to the ICC seeding ahead of the World Cup, India has also sealed their top status in Group A and will be slotted in Group 1 of the Super Eights.

As the team with a first-place finish in Group A, India will take on the first-placed team of Group C and the second-placed teams of Group B and Group D. The Super Eights will commence from June 19 in the West Indies. Although we don't know the final standings of the group stages, due to ICC's seeding, India has already learned its tentative opponents.
India's first match will be on June 20 against the first-placed team in Group C. Due to the ICC seedings and current scenario, Afghanistan are the likely opponent in this match. The match will be played in Bridgetown, Barbados.
India's second Super Eight match is on June 22. Rohit Sharma and his boys will play this one in Antigua against the D2 team. In the current scenario, Group D is poised and any of the four teams - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal or Sri Lanka can occupy it. But realistically, Bangladesh is the frontrunner.
India's final match in the Super Eight is on June 24 and the opponent is going to be Australia. The two teams will lock horns in St. Lucia. Australia have already qualified for the Super 8 and due to the seeding, they will qualify as B2 despite their final standings in the group.
Apart from India and Australia, South Africa is the only other country who have already qualified for the next stages. Oman and Namibia are the only teams who have been eliminated from the tournament.
