T20 World Cup 2024: India's Super 8 Match Schedule And Opponents

India has secured a spot in the Super Eights of the T20 World Cup 2024 following their third consecutive victory in the group stages.

Rohit Sharma's team triumphed over a spirited USA side, ensuring their progression to the next stage of the World Cup. Due to ICC seeding ahead of the tournament, India has also confirmed their top status in Group A and will be placed in Group 1 of the Super Eights.

As the first-placed team in Group A, India will face the first-placed team of Group C and the second-placed teams of Group B and Group D. The Super Eights will commence on June 19 in the West Indies. Although the final standings of the group stages are yet to be determined, ICC's seeding has provided India with tentative opponents.

India vs Afghanistan - June 20 (Barbados)

India's first match is scheduled for June 20 against the first-placed team in Group C. Based on ICC seedings and current scenarios, Afghanistan is expected to be India's opponent. The match will take place in Bridgetown, Barbados.

India vs Bangladesh/Netherlands - June 22 (Antigua)

India's second Super Eight match is on June 22. Rohit Sharma and his team will play this match in Antigua against the second-placed team from Group D. Currently, Bangladesh or Netherlands are likely to be India's opponents for this match.

India vs Australia - June 24 (St Lucia)

India's final match in the Super Eight is on June 24 against Australia. The two teams will compete in St. Lucia. Australia has already qualified for the Super Eights and, due to seeding, they will qualify as B2 regardless of their final standings in their group.

Apart from India and Australia, South Africa is the only other country that has qualified for the next stages. Oman and Namibia have been eliminated from the tournament.

All of India's Super Eight matches will start at 8 pm IST, which corresponds to 10:30 am local time.
