Sunrisers Hyderabad Secures Fair Play Award In IPL 2024: A Season Of Sportsmanship

Sunrisers Hyderabad were the beaten finalists in the IPL 2024 Final as they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday (May 26).

The Orange Army were comprehensively beaten by Knight Riders at the Chepauk Stadium. Although it was a disappointing night for them on the field, SRH will hold their heads high for an outstanding season.

The likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen were exceptional for SRH this season, while youngsters like Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed also rose to the occasion with excellent prowess throughout the season.

Despite the disappointment in the Final, SRH will end up winning a trophy this season. For their discipline and adherence to the rules and regulations, Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the Fair Play Award.

SRH received 173 points in 17 matches, averaging 10.18 points per match. The IPL 2024 champions KKR finished 9th in the Fair Play table, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru were the worst-behaved team, sitting at the bottom.

This is Sunrisers Hyderabad's third Fair Play Award victory. Chennai Super Kings have won the most Fair Play awards with six over the years.
