Sunrisers Hyderabad Claims Top Spot For Most Sixes In IPL 2024

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) reclaimed the top position for most sixes by a team in IPL 2024 after a 4-wicket win over Punjab Kings (PBKS). This victory secured SRH the second spot on the points table at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, May 19.

Opting to bat first in their final match of the campaign, PBKS set a target of 215 for SRH. Prabhsimran Singh scored 71 runs, hitting 4 sixes, while Rilee Rossouw also hit 4 sixes. Jitesh Sharma and Atharva Taide contributed with 2 sixes each.

In response, Abhishek Sharma scored 66 off 28 balls, smashing 6 sixes to take his tally to 41 and SRH's past 150. Nitish Reddy hit 3 sixes, while Heinrich Klaasen and Rahul Tripathi added 2 sixes each. Abdul Samad hit one maximum, bringing SRH's total to 160 sixes.
