Asian cricket rivals Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are set to clash in Group D of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, June 7. This match marks the 15th game of the tournament.
Led by Wanindu Hasaranga, Sri Lanka aims to recover from a heavy defeat to South Africa. Meanwhile, Najmul Hossain Shanto's Bangladesh looks to kick off their group stage campaign with a victory.

Both teams are vying for a spot in the Super 8 stage from Group D, which also includes Nepal and the Netherlands. Sri Lanka is particularly eager to improve after being bowled out for just 77 runs in their opening match against South Africa in New York.
