Shamsi Leads South Africa To Edge Past Nepal In T20 World Cup Thriller
Tabraiz Shamsi's performance was pivotal as South Africa narrowly defeated Nepal by one run at the T20 World Cup in Kingstown. Nepal needed two runs from the final ball to secure a win but fell short when Ghulsan Jha was run out at the non-striker's end. This victory marked South Africa's fourth consecutive win in the tournament.
Despite Ottniel Baartman bowling the final over, it was Shamsi's impressive 4-19 that turned the tide in South Africa's favour. His two wickets in the 18th over were crucial in shifting the momentum back to his team. Shamsi expressed his relief after the match, stating, "I am definitely relieved. The team is standing up to the pressure and that's great to see."

Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel expressed his disappointment but also pride in his team's performance against one of the tournament favourites. "I'm very proud of the unit, the way we bowled and batted," Paudel stated. "We were very close but a little far."
