Shadab Khan Secures Hat-trick In LPL Debut, Revives Form Post T20 World Cup
Shadab Khan's performance in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) has rejuvenated his wicket-taking abilities. The Pakistan all-rounder made a significant impact in his debut match for Colombo Strikers, leading them to a 51-run victory over Kandy Falcons.
Shadab contributed with both bat and ball. Batting in the middle-order, he scored 20 runs off 17 balls, helping his team set a competitive total of 198 runs. His contribution was crucial in ensuring Colombo Strikers had a solid foundation.

With the ball, Shadab delivered an outstanding performance. He initially dismissed Kamindu Mendis and then produced a remarkable final over of his spell. In that over, he secured a hat-trick, starting with the wicket of Kandy's captain Wanindu Hasaranga.
Following Hasaranga's dismissal, Shadab bowled out his fellow Pakistani Agha Salman. For the hat-trick delivery, he trapped Pawan Rathnayake in front of the stumps, completing three wickets in consecutive balls.
Shadab Khan achieved a hat trick in the LPL, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs.

Kandy Falcons crumbled from a promising position of 146 for 5 to being all out for just 147 runs. This collapse ensured Colombo Strikers started their season with a commanding win.
Contrasting World Cup Performance
Shadab's recent success contrasts sharply with his performance in the T20 World Cup. During that tournament, he failed to take any wickets and struggled with the bat as well. Pakistan was eliminated at the group stage.
This change in competition seems to have revitalised Shadab Khan's form, showcasing his potential as an all-rounder once again.
