Sanju Samson Becomes First Player In T20I History With Bittersweet Record Of Centuries And Ducks
Sanju Samson achieved a notable milestone in T20I cricket history during the third T20I against South Africa. After being dismissed, he became the first player to reach this unique record.
In Centurion, Samson was out for a duck after facing just two balls. This marked another instance of him not scoring in the series.

Samson began the T20I series against South Africa impressively, hitting a century in the opening match. This made him the first Indian to score consecutive centuries in T20Is. However, following his impressive 107 runs, he has since been dismissed without scoring in successive matches.
He is now the first player in T20I history to score two centuries and then be dismissed for two ducks consecutively. His recent dismissals bring his total to five ducks in 2024, setting a record for an Indian player within a single year.
