Yuvraj Singh Keen On Rohit Sharma-Mohammad Amir Duel In T20 World Cup
Yuvraj Singh, a brand ambassador for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, has shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming India vs Pakistan match. The highly anticipated game will take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, June 9.
The stadium's pitch has been under scrutiny due to its uneven bounce, making it challenging for batsmen to score runs. Fast bowlers have found success on this tricky surface, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the contest.

Yuvraj Singh is particularly excited about two specific matchups in the game. The former cricketer is eager to see Rohit Sharma face Mohammad Amir and Virat Kohli go up against Shaheen Afridi. These encounters are expected to be pivotal in determining the outcome of the match.
"I think we're all moved by the emotion of the India-Pakistan game because we have a lot of history. Pakistan have got some really fiery bowlers. I think we got a stronger batting side. I'm definitely looking at Mohammed Amir vs Rohit because he likes to get the ball full and then Shaheen Afridi against Virat," Yuvraj Singh said in a video released by ICC.
"I think these are going to be some big matchups. But at the end of the day, you have to use your mind. You have to play according to the situation and I feel the team which plays according to the situation and keeps the emotion back will definitely win this game," he added.
Mohammad Amir has dismissed Rohit Sharma in both their T20I encounters so far. Similarly, Virat Kohli and Shaheen Afridi have faced each other twice in T20I cricket, with Kohli scoring 34 runs off 22 balls but losing his wicket once to Afridi.
