Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli Achieve Historic Milestone In T20 World Cup

India captain Rohit Sharma and batter Virat Kohli achieved a remarkable milestone in the T20 World Cup Final against South Africa on Saturday, June 29.

India won the toss, and Rohit Sharma opted to bat first in Barbados. In the very first over, Virat Kohli reached a significant record.

Historic Milestone for Sharma, Kohli

Virat Kohli gave India a strong start by hitting three boundaries in the opening over. Facing Marco Jansen, he played three elegant shots and on the third ball of his innings, became the first Indian to face 3,000 deliveries in T20I cricket.

In the following over, Rohit Sharma also reached his 3000th delivery milestone while facing Keshav Maharaj. He managed to score a boundary off that delivery but was dismissed shortly after, scoring only 9 runs off 5 balls.

Despite Rohit Sharma having the most runs in T20I cricket for India, Pakistan's Babar Azam holds the record for facing the most deliveries with 3211 balls faced in his career.

The achievements of both players highlight their significant contributions to Indian cricket and their ability to perform under pressure.
