Rohit Sharma Eager For T20 World Cup Debut In New York
India captain Rohit Sharma recently visited the Nassau County Stadium in New York ahead of their T20 World Cup campaign, which begins with a warm-up match against Bangladesh on June 1.
India is scheduled to play three matches at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium. Rohit Sharma expressed his admiration for the newly built venue, stating that he is eager to experience the atmosphere during their matches. "It looks beautiful. It is quite an open ground. When we come here and play our first game, I just cannot wait to feel the atmosphere in the stadium," Sharma said, as quoted by ICC.

The stadium boasts a decent capacity, and Sharma is hopeful for a positive experience. "Hopefully, it is gonna be a good one. We are looking to understand the conditions more importantly (before the tournament) as we have not been here before," he added.
The Indian captain emphasized the importance of adapting to the conditions before their first group stage match against Ireland on June 5. He also conveyed a message to New York residents, anticipating strong support for all teams participating in the tournament.
"We will try and make the most of the conditions, get used to what it is going to be like on June 5 when we play our first game. It is just about getting into that rhythm of getting the feel of the ground, pitch and stuff like that," Sharma explained.
Sharma expressed confidence that people in New York would be keen to watch the World Cup, given that it is being held there for the first time. "I am pretty sure all the fans across the various teams are quite excited and looking forward to this tournament. And also as players cannot wait to get started," he concluded.
