Robin Minz Makes His Mark As Mumbai Indians Acquire Jharkhand Star At IPL 2025 Auction
Robin Minz, a promising cricketer from Jharkhand, has secured a significant contract in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Mumbai Indians, who have won the IPL five times, acquired him for Rs 65 lakh.
The young talent from Gumla district has faced numerous challenges but is eager to make his mark in the prestigious franchise league. Last year, Minz was part of the Gujarat Titans squad but couldn't play due to a bike accident before the tournament began.

After his impressive auction deal, MyKhel spoke with Robin Minz's father, Mr. Francis Xavier Minz. "The feeling is magnificent. It's even better than the last one. I talked with Robin. As soon as he was sold, I called him and we talked. He was very happy as well," he shared while Robin is currently with the Jharkhand team.
Mr. Minz expressed immense pride in his son's achievements, stating that Robin's success brings joy to their entire family. He reflected on Robin's journey and mentioned that reaching such heights was something they had only dreamed of.
Currently participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Minz showcased his skills by scoring a quick 36 runs off just 12 balls on Monday. His innings included five fours and two sixes. Interestingly, Jharkhand's group stage matches are being held in Mumbai, which might be a fortunate coincidence for him.
"The feeling of a father [his] is very high. For the father, for the mother, for the family, when the child excels in life. And when he goes to a level where we can only dream, there can be no greater achievement for the parents than that," Mr. Minz added.
As Robin continues to perform well in domestic cricket, he hopes to translate this success onto the IPL stage with Mumbai Indians. His journey reflects determination and resilience despite past setbacks.
