Riyan Parag Misplaces Passport And Phones In Pre-Tour Excitement For Zimbabwe
Riyan Parag, a 22-year-old player for Rajasthan Royals, misplaced his passport and two phones just before boarding a flight to Zimbabwe. The star batter is expected to make his India debut in the first T20I against Zimbabwe on July 6.
The young Indian team arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe's capital, early on Wednesday morning. They are set to have a rest day before starting their net practice sessions.

Parag shared that he lost his passport and phones due to the excitement of travelling with the Indian team for the first time. He mentioned that he had always dreamt of wearing the 'Indian team clothes' and travelling with the team.
"From my childhood, I had dreamed of travelling like this. We play cricket a lot but other things which come with it, like travelling with the team and wearing the Indian team clothes," Riyan Parag said in a video posted by the BCCI on Wednesday, July 3.
"So excited that I forgotten my passport and my phone. I have not forgotten but I misplaced them. I have it now. It's a new team. Almost a very new team. A lot of new faces in the Indian squad but a lot of old faces as well as I have played with them a lot."
The Assam cricketer expressed his joy at finally achieving his dream of travelling with the Indian cricket team. He said it was a special moment for him and would be even more special when he plays his first match in Zimbabwe.
"A young boy from Assam was always dreaming about this. Now it has finally come true. A lot of happiness is there. And Zimbabwe will have a special connection. Whenever I play my first match, it will be a special moment for that ground and myself, which will be very secret," Parag added.
Concluding his video message after arriving in Zimbabwe, Parag said: "After my passport and two phones were misplaced, we are finally here. 20-hour journey, got our room keys, heading back to the room, really looking forward to the tour, signing out."
